Born to an Armenian father and an Anglo-Indian mother, Keith Garebian holds a doctorate in Canadian and Commonwealth Literature from Queen’s University. The author of four chapbooks and well over two dozen books, he is a widely-published writer. Marc di Saverio hails from Hamilton, Canada. His poems and translations have appeared internationally. In 2016 he received the City of Hamilton Arts Award for Best Emerging Writer. In Total Darkness Means No Notifications, we follow a lonely Arctic bitcoin miner whose only companions seem to be the hum of the servers and a malfunctioning robot, Sir David Attenbot, that spits out natural history facts like its namesake. In March, 2016, he was inducted into the VERSe Ottawa Hall of Honour. His most recent titles include the poetry collections A halt, which is empty (Mansfield Press, 2019) and Life sentence, (Spuyten Duyvil, 2019). An editor and publisher, he runs above/ground press, seventeen seconds: a journal of poetry and poetics (ottawater.com/seventeenseconds), Touch the Donkey (touchthedonkey.blogspot.com) and the Ottawa poetry pdf annual ottawater (ottawater.com). He is “Interviews Editor” at Queen Mob’s Teahouse, editor of my (small press) writing day, and an editor/managing editor of many gendered mothers. Matea Kulić is a writer and editor living in Vancouver, on Coast Salish territories.
